An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Officer to provide high quality IT support to our business. This will include providing hardware, network and application support to users, as well as carry out operational and housekeeping duties that maintain availability of IT services.
The successful candidate will have some experience in an IT environment providing support to customers across a diverse IT platform with good knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Citrix and anti-virus software.
You will be a confident communicator, with the ability to convey technical matters in a non-technical way and have the ability to work under pressure.
Main duties include:
- 1st and 2nd Line Support
- Fix issues, and if required escalate to the IT Manager/Technical Systems Officer
- System daily checks
- Project work
- System documentation
- Mobile Device Management
- Asset Management
- Managing the IT Helpdesk
- Procurement of Hardware
The requirement to fulfil the role is for someone that has the ability to learn fast and think on their feet!
The following skills and knowledge are a requirement of the role:
- Windows XP/10
- Windows server 2012+/2019
- Windows active directory and group policy
- Networking (basic switching and routing)
- Helpdesk systems
- Dell/HP Servers
- Forcepoint email and web filtering solutions
- Enterprise antivirus systems
- Mobile Device Management
- Office 365
Having experience with the following would be a clear advantage, though not necessary:
- Linux / Ubuntu
- Firewall knowledge – Cisco ASA
- Monitoring systems – PRTG
- Virtualisation – Hyper-V/VMWare
- Managed Wi-Fi systems
- Antivirus systems – Sentinel One
- Web/E-mail filters – Forcepoint
- Data Leakage Prevention (DLP)
- Two factor authentication (RSA)

Additional Information
Private health insurance, on-site gym, Company Pension and free parking. Hours of work 9:00 am to 5:15pm, but with the ability to work out of these hours if necessary.
