Aim of the Department
The aim of the department is to provide fast, reliable and secure communications and data processing.  It plays an integral role in helping the company to improve business processes, achieve cost efficiencies, drive revenue growth and maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Purpose of the role
To manage and maintain the current company network and infrastructure. To ensure continued IT security throughout the company and implement new technology as needed.

Key Tasks
   Second and third line support
   Firewall and network maintenance
   Fix issues, and if required escalate to the IT Manager
   System daily checks
   Project work
   Network design and implementation
   Proactive maintaining the security of the network
   System documentation
   Creation of IT Processes and IT Policies

Technologies and Experience
You should be fully conversant with the latest IT software, hardware and systems, including legacy technologies and operating systems. You will possess firewall, back-up, monitoring, visualisation, email management and WiFi system experience and have a comprehensive understanding of antivirus systems, websites, email filters, DLP, two-factor authentication, task automation and configuration management programs. In addition, you will also need to have a willingness to learn about Secure Retail’s specially developed in-house systems and technologies.

Due to the nature of the role some out of hours work might be necessary.
